Dave Dyke was a devoted sheriff deputy/police officer for 24 years in Southeast Minnesota. His experience includes patrol, investigations, hostage negotiations, and undercover agent for the Southeast Minnesota Narcotics and Gang Task Force.
His loving wife, Christi, is a former Mayo Clinic/Mayo Clinic Health System ER nurse with over ten years of ER experience. Today, she works as an RN in the Midwest Admission and Transfer Center at Mayo Clinic in Rochester, MN, and as a Death Investigator for the Southeast Minnesota Regional Medical Examiner's Office. She also brings over 13 years of prior experience from a volunteer ambulance service.

From Puppy to Partner
We are often asked about Dave's four-legged partner who has become such an integral part of our story.
In August 2023, Dave began training with Nya, who went on to become his service dog. She helps Dave navigate the transition from a 24-year career in law enforcement to this new chapter of advocacy.
She is a living testament to the profound healing that begins with four paws and a loyal heart. While she stays home to rest during some travels, Nya joins us for select speaking engagements to share her quiet strength with those who need it most.
